Ryan Travis is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and other assistive technology.
What's been built in
- A skip-to-content link on every page
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging
- Minimum 44×44px touch targets on buttons and form controls
- Motion that respects your device's "reduce motion" setting
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) for screen reader navigation
- Correct heading order (H1 → H2 → H3, no skipped levels) on every page
- Every color/background text pairing on the site checked and passing WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1)
- Target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance
Known limitations
This site is under active development. Third-party tools it links to or embeds — including property search (RealScout), school data (GreatSchools, Niche), and font delivery (Google Fonts) — are outside our direct control and may not fully match this standard. The checks above were done computationally (contrast ratios, heading structure, label associations) rather than through a live screen reader or keyboard-only walkthrough — that manual pass is still outstanding.
